Bye bye Paramount and More
Today was the last day of volunteering at Paramount Theatre. After several days of headliners and red carpet events the theater was very slow this last day.
A lot of the volunteers agreed that having Thursday as the last day would have been great because we ended on such hight note. Nevertheless, this last day was a great end to what has been an amazing experience. I thoroughly enjoyed being on film venue crew and was lucky enough to have what I think was the best theater.
I was able to leave my shift in enough time to see a comedy show at Ester’s Follies. Its such a weird venue but I think if I lived in Austin I would go there often for the live shows. The comedy show had about five or six comedians with The Lucas Brothers and Hannibal as the most notable ones at least for me.
After the comedy show I watched the movie Teenage Cocktail. It was nothing like I was expecting to say the least. For the majority of the movie I was engaged in the movie but towards the end the movie seemed to take a major left turn and I don’t know if the dramatics were really worth it; it seemed a little extreme in a way that did not add to the story. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the screening and glad I got to see it.
